Dr. Ashleigh Herbert
Dr. Ashleigh Herbert joined the Burnaby Veterinary Hospital team after graduating with Distinction from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, SK. She was raised in White Rock, BC and is excited to be back on the West Coast after her years in Saskatchewan. Dr. Herbert has been actively involved in the community including organizing Burnaby Veterinary Hospital’s first Vets in Action Day, during which surgeries and dental procedures were provided for animals at the BC SPCA. Her special interests include emergency and critical care, anesthesia, and providing health care for rescue animals. Prior to moving to Saskatchewan, Dr. Herbert completed a Bachelor of Science with Distinction at the University of Victoria. Her studies at UVic were in Marine Biology during which she also spent time at the Bamfield Marine Science Station on the west coast of Vancouver Island.
In her spare time she enjoys hiking or running many trails on the North Shore with her rescue dog Layla, or spending a day snowboarding or scuba diving.
