On behalf of Burnaby Veterinary Hospital and the BC SPCA, we would like to congratulate Dr. Claudia Richter on her exciting new journey, as she will be leaving her position with us at Burnaby Veterinary Hospital, to pursue her residency in Veterinary Behavioural Medicine.
It has been an amazing 10 years, working together to improve the lives of many pets along the way! The highly specialized care of your treasured pets will be taken over by our carefully selected and trained veterinarians, Dr. Julianne Mantler and Dr. Sarah Grundy, whom you may have already met in the past year. Feel free to give us a call and schedule a meet and greet appointment with your pet!
We wish Dr. Claudia Richter the best of luck as she begins her new expedition towards improving the behavioural health of pets all over the lower mainland!
If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to call or email us.
Your Team at Burnaby Veterinary Hospital
A Letter from Dr. Richter
To all my valued clients at Burnaby Veterinary Hospital,
It is with a heavy heart that I write to inform you that I will be leaving Burnaby Veterinary Hospital to pursue my residency in Veterinary Behavioral Medicine on a full-time basis.
I have spent ten wonderful years working at BVH, first as an employee, then as hospital owner, and finally as a proud member of the BC SPCA team. During that time, it has been my pleasure to work with all of you, my amazing clients, and to participate in the care of your wonderful pets. I have enjoyed getting to know each of you and will miss you all dearly!
While leaving BVH is very hard for me, I take comfort knowing that the entire BVH team, under the direction of Drs. Mantler and Grundy, will continue to serve you and your pets with best-in-class care and professionalism. I am also certain that the leadership of the BC SPCA will ensure BVH’s community activism and social responsibility is maintained into the future. I am very proud of what BVH has become and could not have asked for a better group of professionals to continue on the legacy myself and my team has worked to build!
On a personal note, I wish to thank you for entrusting me to be part of your pet’s care over the last ten years. It has been a privilege and a true honor. Many of us have been through lots of ups and downs together over the years and I have grown personally and learned professionally from each and every case I have seen. The knowledge that you trusted my guidance on our journeys together gives me strength and confidence as I work towards branching out into new and different areas of Veterinary Medicine!
All the best to you and your families going forward! My apologies in advance to anyone who I may not get a chance to say goodbye to in person before I go.
Claudia Richter, DVM
